A beautifully, ruby red summer crumble with redcurrants and apples.
Crumble with redcurrant and apple
4-6 servings
2 apples, cut into small pieces
200 g redcurrants, cleaned
1 tbsp sugar
150 g plain flour
150 g sugar
150 g butter
100 g almonds, chopped
Put the apple pieces and redcurrants in a round buttered dish. Make the crumble dough by mixing flour, sugar and butter in slices and rub it in with your fingertips until the mixture looks like moist breadcrumbs. Add the almonds. Pour the crumble dough on top of the apples and redcurrants. Bake the crumble in the oven at 190 degrees celsius for about 35 minutes, until the crumble is golden. Serve the crumble hot with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
