Dear figs, I love you <3
Autumn is here, and I indulge in figs every single day. They have their own spot in my breakfast bowl and I enjoy them on my cheese toast. I put them in cakes and tarts and I bake them in the oven like I have done here.
I simply cut them in halves and gave them a drizzle of good virgin olive oil before baking them in the oven at 200 degrees Celsius for 15 minutes. Slighly cooled down, we enjoyed them with whipped cream and the last bits of caramelized white chocolate. Feel free to add toasted hazelnuts instead, if you want to make it a sugar-free serving.
