My favorite breakfast waffle is gluten-free and sugar-free but still has a sweet flavor from the ripe banana and the almonds.
Banana waffle with almond flour
1 waffle
1 ripe banana, mashed
1 egg
20 g almond flour or very finely chopped almonds
1 tbsp poppyseeds
1/4 tsp cinnamon/cardemom/organic lemon peel
Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl and bake the waffle in the waffle iron. Serve hot with your favorite toppings of fruit, berries, yogurt and chocolate.
