These date balls with matcha tea are so delicious. They are made of dates, almonds, cocoa powder, cinnamon, vanilla and tangerine juice. If you don’t like matcha tea feel free to roll them in cocoa powder instead.
Date balls with matcha tea
18 pieces
100 g almonds
100 g dates, pitted
1 tbsp cocoa powder
Juice from half a tangerine
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp vanilla powder
a pinch of salt
For rolling:
15 g matcha tea
(15 g cocoa powder)
In a food processor process the almonds until crumbly. Then add the dates, cocoa powder, tangerine juice, cinnamon, vanilla and salt and process again until you get a sticky batter. Roll spoonsfulls of the batter between your hands to form bite-sized balls. Roll them in matcha tea (or cocoa powder or both). Store in the refrigerator until serving.
